Are you hardworking, punctual with good time management skillsWould you like to work for a company that in return for the above will invest in training and tickets to help you develop or start your careerDo you have, or are you happy to obtain (the company will pay for) the followingPTS (Personal Track Safety)CSCSChain Saw certificateIf so this is your opportunity to work for a leading facilities company carrying out all core vegetation management activities to enable contracts to befulfilled safely, on time, within budget and to quality and environmental standards.In order to qualify for this role, you need to be flexible and happy to work a 40 hour week on a shift basis agreed in advance as the company are a 24/7 operation.Day to day responsibilities/tasks are -Carry out a variety of vegetation maintenance duties where appropriately trained /competent including (but not restricted to) brush cutting, chipping, tree and shrubplanting, chainsaw works on ground, tree surgery works, knapsack spraying,general vegetation and site clearance and plant operation inc Unimog andattachmentsCarry out site safety duties where appropriately trained / competent includingNWR safety e.g. PTS, Lookout / Site Warden and COSSAdhere to all risk assessments and method statements based on internal,external and client standards and requirementsObserve the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, EC Directivesand client standards ensuring your own safety and that of your team, other workcolleagues and 3 rd parties by carrying out duties in a safe manner withinguidelines of relevant legislation and the companys policiesCarrying out daily checks on any works vehicle and trailer (where appropriatelyinstructed) including water, oil, lights, tyres and tow hitch mechanism, ensuringthe vehicle and trailer are kept clean and tidyCarry out daily checks on any designated plant, tools and / or equipment andensure it is cleaned at the end of each working dayBeing available for stand by / emergency call outs (e.g. extreme weatherconditions, potentially dangerous situations reported by clients)Person Profile -This role is as much about your attitude and determination as much as it is about your skills.
