Senior Credit Controller / Debt Collector

Location: Chatham
Job Type: Temporary, Ongoing
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience + Uncapped bonus (£1500 extra per month)

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller / Debt Collector for an ongoing temporary position based in Chatham. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in credit control and debt collection, who is looking for achallenging and rewarding opportunity. Due to the location of our client, the candidate will need to have their own transport. Day-to-day of the role:

Managing and overseeing the credit control and debt collection processes.
Proactively contacting clients to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
Resolving queries and disputes related to invoicing and payments.
Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity.
Recommending and implementing improvements to the credit control process.
Preparing reports on the status of credit and collections.
Working closely with the finance team to reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in a credit control or debt collection role.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the location of the client.
