Gas Heating and Plumbing Workshop Technician / Assistant required in Gillingham, Kent.Salary £24K + excellent benefits and on-going professional development. This is a unique opportunity for a Gas qualified Heating Engineer to join their constructiontraining division based at The Royal School of Military Engineering in Chatham, Kent, whereRoyal Engineers are taught a wide range of construction and engineering skills.The Workshop Technician will have responsibility for providing practical support to the Gas Heating and Plumbing teaching department.This may suit someone wanting to move from industry into an education environment.You will exercise good and safe workshop practice, meet regularly with teaching staff, instructors and assessors to provide assistance where required. Monitor and register attendance of students in workshops, assist teaching staff and instructors with the supervision,training and assessment of students including monitoring.Invigilating assessments, recording and reporting progress as required (on the job training will be given for assessment processes).Maintain and manage all gas appliances within the department acrossboilers, fires, cookers and water heaters.In addition, managing tools and equipment used by students.Requirements:
