Job Description

Brief Outline

  • An establishedcontractor in the facades market requires aDesign Engineerto oversee design processes on large commercial and infrastructure projects in the South East andLondon region involving curtain walling, cladding and glazing systems.
  • The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in their various ongoing projects and the overall progress of the company.
    • About our ClientOur client is a market leading, contractor based in the Kent area working across the South East. As a company, they deliver specialist cladding, glazing and curtain walling contracts amongst other related areas. They have worked on some of the most prestigious projects in the region over their 20-year history.Their turnover has increased year-on-year and have a large pipeline of work for the year ahead already.About the RoleThe company are looking to recruit an ambitious Design Engineerthat has the desire to become a seniorfigure in their technical team in the future.Duties and responsibilities include;
  • Producing concept sketches, detailed designs, structural and thermal calculations and reports in accordance with project programmes. .
  • Liaising with other disciplines and ensuring the coordination of design and detailing work appropriate to the project.
  • Liaising with estimators and advise on appropriate design solutions.
  • Maintaining internal document control of drawings.
