Job Description

About the team: Joining us as an Cyber Analyst will mean youll play a critical role in protecting the Banks data, IT infrastructure, business systems and services against a range of criminal and malicious cyber threats internally and externally.This role can be based either in our Kent or Wolverhampton offices.About us: At OneSavings Bank, were proud to be an award-winning bank, with great customer satisfaction scores.We began trading as a bank in 2011 and were admitted to the main market of the London Stock Exchange in 2014, joining the FTSE 250 in June 2015. They have three complementary brands: Charter Savings Bank; Precise Mortgages; Exact Mortgage Experts.What you will be doing: In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide accurate and priority driven analysis on cyber activity and threats.Your responsibilities will include…

  • Coordinating with IT to conduct investigations of cyber incidents or other security incidents utilising various tools to provide an accurate account of the incident
  • Supporting the investigation lead in IT Forensics investigations to preserve digital evidence
  • Developing innovative monitoring and detection solutions using tools and advanced scripting
  • Assisting in the testing of cyber incident response plans
  • Creating playbooks to document procedural actions for special cases of cyber events and incidents
  • Leveraging your strong technical knowledge and familiarity with the Banks IT and security architectures and capabilities to manage any cyber incidents and rapidly identifying gaps as well as suitable response actions and enhancements that could improve our defences
  • Please note, you will be part of an on-call rota to provide 24x7 out-of-hours continuous response capabilities. In return for your commitment: We offer a base salary dependent on experience and a competitive benefits package including:

  • Could you be the oneWe are looking for talented individuals who have the experience/knowledge and qualifications set out below:
  • Previous work experience in a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Centre (CSIRC) or a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms and architectures and real-time endpoint inspections tools
  • Excellent programming skills using Python, PowerShell or equivalent cyber scripting toolsets
  • Intermediate level cyber security certification such as GCIH or GCFE
