As a result of retirement, there is scope for somebody to join at an important time with shaping the commercial andstrategic landscape of the business at the forefront of deliverables. You will play a key part in modernising financial controls, streamlining systems, and ultimately integrating Finance with departments across the organisation.A key working relationship will be with the Managing Director, collaborating on a wide range of projects. The company has an aspirational yet achievable growth plan which will ensure built-in progression towards a board-level position.Responsibilities:Leadership Lead, manage, train and motivate the small but highly capable accounting team Drive positive change, striving for continuous improvement and excellence in every process and interaction Embrace technology, including embedding a new finance systemManagement Accounting Overall responsibility for all transaction accounting (through direct line reports) Maintain a robust system of financial controls Prepare detailed monthly management accounts (consolidated, company, function and departmental) including rigorous performance analysis Monthly balance sheet reporting, including reconciliation of all control accounts Prepare rolling forecasts by department Weekly cashflow forecasts Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders, providing detailed financial information and support to assist them in achieving their objectivesStatutory Prepare statutory accounts entities, to include consolidation and clear audit trail Co-ordinate annual financial audit, including preparation of all supporting schedules Corporation tax, VAT Company secretarial duties and statutory returnsThis is a challenging and responsible role in a welcoming environment.
