Job Description

Reed Accountancy are representing an Accountancy Practice based in North Leedsfor a new member to join their team as a Payroll Manager/Assistant! This is a permanent team paying between £22,000 - £28,000 dependant on experience.Job Description The successful applicant for this Permanent Payrollrole will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for over 100employers
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel and overtime claims;
  • Responsible for the coordination between payroll and human resources, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
  • Maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis
  • Generating reports for payments e.g. PAYE returns and other third parties
  • Deals with NEST pension and make submissions to pension provider on monthly basis
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel and overtime claims
  • Responsible for the coordination between payroll and human resources, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
  • The Successful Applicant To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:
  • Three plus years within payroll ideally from a practise or bureau background but this is not essential
  • Excellent skills using MS Excel
  • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure
