Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a recently qualified ACA/ACCA from a practice background to assume a high-profile position in the head office finance team of a PLC energy business. Reporting into a dynamic Group FC and with very clear succession plans in place,the Group Financial Accountant will manage a small team and gain unrivalled exposure in a growing, listed organisation.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing the Group’s consolidated annual financial statements and accounts
  • Preparing the statutory financial statements for some of the Group’s subsidiaries including relevant supporting schedules
  • Leading the annual audit of the group, preparing audit schedules and effectively communicating with the audit team
  • Delivering month end accounting including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and amortization schedules
  • Reviewing monthly reporting provided by overseas finance teams and providing input on differing accounting scenarios through weekly catch ups
The Group FC is seeking a personable, ambitious, driven individual who sees this as an excellent entry point into an industry setting. Promotion to GFC is entirely possible for a strong performer in the next c. 2 years.
