My client is a AIM listed technology driven exchange group based in the City of London that have recently gone through a period of growth due to an acquisition.A position has arised for a technically strong, practice trained ACA accountant to join the business as a Financial/Management accountant. This position will report into the Financial Director whilst working along side an Accounts Executive.Overview of the role:The Financial and management Accountant will concentrate primarily on the annual and half yearly financial accounts, monthly management accounts, budgeting and business analysis. This role will also cover supporting the CFO in the preparation of Board papers, investor relations and exposure to business development opportunities.Essential Functions:• Financial accounting• Preparation of the draft annual financial accounts and half-yearly accounts with supporting analysis and liaison with the external auditors• Management accounts• Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including variance analysis• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget• Board papers• Assist the CFO in the preparation of the Board and Board committee papers including the annual strategy meeting papers.• Business development• Assist with the analysis of international business development opportunities in particular in support of the technology licensing business• Close liaison with the Paris office on all financial and management accounting and tax issuesQualifications & Requirements:• ACA Fully Qualified• 2nd Class honours degree or better• Up-to-date knowledge of statutory requirements and standards (IFRS9, IFRS15 and IFRS16 would be beneficial)• Practice Trained (TOP 25 Firms)• First movers from practice or 1-2 years industry experience• Ability to operate effectively in a financial services culture and organisationThis company offer a fantastic working environment, modern office space and fantastic benefits.Benefits:• Competitive salary• Flexible working hours with working from home options• SIPP Scheme• Discretionary bonus based on company performance• Option Scheme• Statutory Pension, Life Assurance, Critical Illness and 25 Days annual leave!If you feel that you would suit this role and match the requirements above then please apply today.
