Job Description

Chef de Partie / Demi Chef / Commis Chef ? Central London Nr the Angel Station Up to £25K + Service Charge Permanent Unique Dining / Lounge and Restaurant My central London client is looking for a chef de partie / demi chef de partie who would be open to working in an environment where the main concept is for diners to eat in complete darkness.Currently my client has one restaurant with this ?dining in the dark? concept and also have a second restaurant in the Faringdon and they are looking for a CDP / Demi Chef and or Commis Chef to work between these two locations. The second location will look to cater for a more main stream concept aiming at corporate clients, afternoon tea?s, dinner and a late night silent disco.Another unique aspect of the company is the fact that many of their staff members have sensory impairments and they are looking for open minded and progressive chefs who are passionate about working with people who have different work challenges in their lives.Working closely with the Head Chef and the senior management team you will be helping create fresh food dishes for diners ensuring customers come back time and time again.The Role:As the Chef de Partie / demi chef you will have the opportunity to be developed in this unique restaurant.Who should apply for this AMAZING opportunity

  • Ideally a demi / commis chef who has worked looking for a step up in their career
  • Experience of cooking with fresh ingredients
  • A hardworking Chef who can work in an organised and methodical manner
  • A chef happy to take on more responsibility in the kitchen with regards to training and putting ideas forward to the menu
  • Some form of formal chef training and or, qualifications ? (not essential)
  • A non ego-tiscal chef who has the maturity to work with floor staff with sensory impairments
