Job Description

Operations Coordinator£25,000Monday to FridayBansteadThe Operations Manager role creates a much-needed link between a growing Hire / Sales team, and Engineering. Taking full ownership of the Warehouse itself and the team, they work with. The candidateis responsible for key areas outlined below as well asmaintaining continuous communication with all teams to provide them a clear and up-to-date overview of the current state of the warehouse. All day-to-day activities, Including receipt, storage and distribution to UK and International distributors. in compliancewith companys policies, strategy, and vision.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effective team deployment and development is vital to ensure the warehouse operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business.
  • This role requires you to lead and co-ordinate the actions of the business towards the common goal of helping the company achieve its business targets. To lead, guide and support the Dispatch teams, Sales/Hire and consistently strive for excellence andpromote best practice in all areas to achieve gold standard customer service.
  • Maximising resources and minimising costs by developing optimum efficient storage solutions Ensure that all employees follow the Organisations Health and Safety Policies at all times.
THE TEAM
  • Monitoring and reporting on the general wellbeing of your team. Identifying and resolving potential issues, conflicts, or tensions.
  • Providing your team with a fair but firm guideline as to the expectations of their role as recruited
  • Ensuring all team members have undergone training in Manual Handling and are able to complete their jobs safely.
  • Holding a weekly meeting with the driving team to discuss issues, identify areas for improvement and congratulate at times of success.
  • HR management of your team of drivers
  • Efficiently managing and monitoring a team of drivers and helpers including logging and keeping track of working hours, overtime, holidays, and sickness/absence
THE ADMIN
  • Ensuring all areas of the teams "admin" tasks (i.e., filing invoices) are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ensuring the team are aware of, and following, all processes identified as part of the warehouse/delivery members role.
