Fixed Term Contract until 20th December 2024 (Maternity Cover)We’re now looking for a Lecturer to provide tutorial and pastoral care for a group or groups of learners with learning disabilities/difficulties and to monitor work experience activities.Acting as a Course Leader for a group (or groups) of students, taking responsibility for their study programme (including Maths and English), you will teach and assess on a range of programmes and take an active role in all aspects of student assessmentand accreditation.We’d like our Lecturer to have experience of working with and an understanding the needs of SEND and be comfortable managing students offering challenging behaviour. You’ll have knowledge of the accreditation framework and assessment strategies in the post16 sector, including RARPA, and understand the application of information technology and assistive technology to teaching and learning strategies.With a positive can-do attitude and the ability to work as part of a team, you will have experience of assessment and/or IV practices for a range of specialist accreditation and of working with external agencies. You will have knowledge of current curriculumchanges and the implications for SEND learning strategies and reforms, as well as the changing agenda for SEND learners in further education, and the implications that this has for delivery and promotion of learning.Closing date for the return of an online application form is 24th January 2024.
