LWFull Time - 10PAsPermanentApplicants are invited for a highly-motivated and patient-focused Consultant Medical Microbiologist to join our team of 4 friendly Consultant Microbiologists, and a specialty doctor and registrar, at Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust.The post includes the responsibility to further develop Antimicrobial Stewardship within the Trust; experience in this area is desirable. The Trust has recently had approval for building a new acute hospital providing an exciting opportunity to help shape provision of care into the future.Our Microbiology services provide a 24-hour diagnostic, interpretative and clinical service, including bacteriological and virological diagnostic services for GPs and hospital clinicians.We work closely with the Infection Prevention and Control team to provide a comprehensive control of infection service for our hospitals and associated community services.If successful, you will also be responsible for:
