Job Description

  • You will already hold QCF Level 3 Children and Young People and have gained experience of working within a Childrens Residential Setting. Once settled, together we will produce a Personal Development Plan and arrangements will be made with respect to appropriatetraining
  • You must have a full Driving Licence
What will your role look like
  • Organising and managing the shift in such a way as to maintain the safety of both children and young people and staff in compliance with regulation
  • Developing, reviewing, and acting upon individual care/pathway plans
  • Contributing to discussions with Social Workers as appropriate, CLA meetings, Education meetings etc
  • Liaising as appropriate with the young persons family
  • Providing appropriate care within the home, in line with the homes Statement of Purpose and the agreed individual care/pathway plans to include: Providing general daily care to young people, including as necessary meal preparation and supervision, laundry,cleaning, supervision of social activities etc
  • Maintaining comprehensive records/reports for key young people
  • Mentoring new staff
  • Promoting the ethos of the home
  • Acting as a positive role model
