Job Description

*Womens refuge manager**Permanent full time**£30,000*We are working alongside a fantastic womens refuge organisation who are recruiting for a Womens refuge manager.The company is a women`s equality organisation which exists to eradicate violence against women and girls and to support survivors. They recognise that ending violence and abuse takes a whole society approach to social change, and it needs you to help themachieve this!About you

  • You will have an understanding of violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence or the ability to quickly develop an understanding around this area
  • Youll have proven experience of managing a diverse team and programmes
  • Comfortable with IT skills and managing social media platforms
  • You will have experience of developing and delivering projects
  • Youll be experienced in recording and monitoring programmes, training, interventions, and support and using the information to produce high quality reports.
  • Experience of overseeing and working with volunteers, community members and people accessing services to achieve objectives
  • Youll have some understanding of working with survivors of trauma
The role
  • You will strategically manage the development, direction, and activities of the service along with community engagement and survivor participation
  • Youll oversee and line manage women centre staff team and volunteers
  • Working alongside the communication and campaigns team to deliver content for effective public campaigning and mobilisations plans
  • You will oversee and develop the charities prevention after care and recovery group work and activities.
  • Youll work closely with the support service team managers to ensure close collaboration across all departments in support services
  • Actively seek to engage with communities and individuals currently underrepresented in the services
  • You will be working with the executive team to realise the strategy to sustain and build upon the charitys programmes
  • Youll work closely with the business development team to sustain and diversify income, including writing bids and proposals.
  • Develop and contribute to policy, strategy, and reports
