Job Description

Company: Live NationDepartment: Cardiff International Arena, Head OfficeLocation: Cardiff International ArenaReports to: Venue ManagerWorking Hours: Full-time, permanentRole DescriptionTo undertake and manage all financial duties for the Cardiff International Arena and ensure the smooth running of the Accounts department and full compliance with all company financial policies and procedures.Who you areCompetencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience Essential:

  • Solid finance experience
  • AAT qualification (or equivalent), preferred
  • Excellent computer, numerical and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and organise own and others workload
  • Initiative / Self-motivation
  • Team player
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Integrity
  • Interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Good IT skills; competent in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Analytical ability
  • Excellent commercial sense and a genuine interest in our business.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working in the wider Venue, Gig and Theatrical market with sound product knowledge
  • Previous use of online ticketing systems
What the role includes
  • Analyse and investigate the venues annual and monthly financial accounts in conjunction with Venue Management
  • Undertake and ensure completion to deadline of all venue financial administration
  • Prepare reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements
  • Assist with financial forecasting and risk analysis
  • Liaise with senior Executive and Managerial staff, colleagues and clients
  • Negotiate contracts and business terms with clients and associated organisations as and when needed
  • Ensure financial systems and policies are adhered to
  • Administer and manage payroll
  • Work with department heads to ensure control of income and expenditure
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Any other duties the Venue Manger may deem appropriate
