Job Description

Our client is looking for a team member to join their Governance and Risk Team.Location is flexible within South WalesPrevious experience in a similar role is essential and you will support the development and maintenance of the non-financial corporate governance framework, including the effective management of risk in the organisation.You will provide advice to all managers and staff across the organisation on the application of corporate governance policies and procedures such as risk management, declaration of interests, code of conduct, gift & hospitality, non-financial scheme of delegation and other relevant policies.Duties will include:-

  • Maintaining and updating the conflicts of interest register, gifts and hospitality register and risk registers
  • Track and monitor compliance with corporate governance policies
  • Provide advice to all managers and staff across the organisation on the application of corporate governance policies and procedures
  • Support the annual management assurance exercise, ensuring quality and delivery to deadlines
  • Set up and maintain systems
  • Support the development and delivery of any internal training or awareness sessions
  • Maintain and update the non-financial scheme of delegation to include tracking and logging of changes to ensure sign off is achieved
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Knowledge of corporate governance or risk management would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Ability to draft clear and unambiguous guidance and comments and give clear advice and recommendations
  • Good ICT skills to include; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
