Job Description

Teaching Assistant (TA) Role. CF5Ely, Cardiff, CF5Long Term & Five Days a WeekWeekly PayAcademics are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) to begin work at a primary school in Ely, Cardiff, to begin after Christmas. The role is full time and in order to apply you must have at least three months experience of workingas a TA.Initially your contract will be until February half term, however this will be extended until the end of the academic year, dependant on performance.The Responsibilities of a TA Include

  • Providing support for pupils either in the classroom or on a 1:1 basis
  • Working as part of an already successful team to ensure that the learning and social objectives of the learners are met
  • Providing both praise and reinforcements
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils
  • Use behaviour management strategies, in line with the schools policy and procedures, to contribute to a purposeful learning environment and encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with each other.
The essentials
  • Three months experience as a TA (essential)
  • An enhanced DBS check (essential) which is subscribed to the DBS Update Service (desirable)
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (essential)
  • Two recent & professional references
  • A good standard of Literacy, Numeracy and Communication skills
