Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a QSHE Advisor on behalf of our client based in Cardiff.The successful applicant will have gained previous Health and Safety experience in a heavy industry environment, particularly Steelworks, Recycling or similar.You will be responsible for supporting the Shift Managers in the implementation of the Company SHEQ Policies and procedures to ensure best practice and champion a safety culture within the businessDuties will include:

  • Carry out site SHEQ audits/inspections
  • Carry out PSOT (Preventative Safety Observation Tasks)
  • Carry out HNC (Hazard Notification Cards)
  • Provide and support Site Managers in delivering toolbox talks and training
  • Support Site Managers in Safety Inductions to visitors when required
  • Preparation and review of site-specific risk assessments when required
  • Co-ordinate accidents & incident management follow-up process
  • Monitor/update system for calibration/inspection of all safety equipment including harnesses, plant, tools, equipment, first-aid equipment etc for site.
  • Compiling and updating all SHEQ documentation on site
  • Collate SHEQ information to produce weekly/monthly reporting including
Person specific:
  • UK Driving License
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable)
  • Computer literate
  • Extensive experience in a similar role
This is a permanent position with a globally respected industrial services company. Occasional travel is expected to other sites in Swansea, Bristol and North Yorkshire.Salary: £35,000 - £38,000Benefits:
