Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to work for an excellent Not-For-Profit organisationbased on the outskirts of Cardiff. Working for this highly regarded organision you will be based within a busy and friendly finance department and you will be required to supportthe transactional teams and Finance Manager with their day to day tasks.The main purpose of the role is to provide a high-quality service, covering all aspects of the purchase/sales ledger and expenses for the organisation.Based in their transactional team you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • High volume data entry of processing purchase/sales ledger invoices
  • Recording all income and expenditure for the organisation
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Processing expenses and petty cash claims
  • Assisting with the credit control function and chasing invoices
  • Banking
  • Assisting with Year End audits
  • Dealing with queries
  • Assisting with month end tasks, such as completing accruals and prepayment journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required by the finance team
  • Deputising for the Financial Manager in their absence
The suitable candidate will possess a strong transactional background and have worked within finance dealing with purchase/sales ledger processing. You will possess an enthusiastic approach and be looking to take on additional responsibilities in order toenhance your skills and experience and ultimately grow within the organisation. If you are studying towards your AAT qualification that would be a distinct advantage. It is essential that you possess strong Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate level) and possessa good eye for detail along with the ability to multi-task.Our client offers an exceptional benefits package to include: 29 days annual leave, increasing to 32 after 5 years service, an employee assistance programme, home-working allowance, employee discount program, life assurance and a competitive company pension.The role will be office based for 2 days a week, on-site parking available and the remainder will be home-working with all equipment provided.
