Refuge Support Worker CardiffFull TimeWe are working with a wonderful Cardiff based charity who provide support to women and children who are seeking refuge and advise from domestic abuse.This is a full time role working 35 hours per week over 7 days and would require working early mornings and late evenings.Within this role you will identify and assess the risks and needs of those using the service by using the special intervention toolkit. You will prioritise cases and provide a proactive, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety,support and recovery planning.You will be working with a caseload of diverse risks and need to ensure that all women and children whenever possible are supported through their journey by the same advisor.Advocating for high risk victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information relating to legal options, health, housing, finance and recovery. You will participate in the case management and supervision system and deliver internal and external training when required.As some of the hours you will be working will be out of hours, the responsibilities working during those times will also include, contacting all referrals in a timely manner, responding to police call outs within the hour, and attending the intake and assessmentfacility when a new resident accesses the accommodation.
