Are you looking for an exciting next career step in an employee-owned multi-disciplinary company specialising in the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical sectors We need talented individuals like you, who share our values, to realise our ambitious growthplans and deliver for our clients.Scitechs expertise ranges from design and build contracting and construction management to commissioning and qualification, pharmaceutical validation and quality consultancy.We are looking for:a Quantity Surveyor to join our friendly team in Cardiff, Wales or Godalming, SurreyYou will be responsible forEstimating values at different stages of the project, from concept design up to fixed price tenders including assisting with overall contractors proposals.Formulating tender lists and assist with the compilation of tender documentation in conjunction with our design and project teams.Procuring and placing subcontract and supply orders in line with terms and conditions for the project.Assessing overall project expenditure, including evaluating subcontractors variations.Compiling project valuations including assessing subcontractors applications before payments are made.Cost reporting/cost control of internal resource and external subcontractor, supplier and consultants to assess overall profitability of the project.Preparation of monthly project cashflow forecasts.Compiling and agreeing final accounts with client and assessing subcontractors final accounts.You will have:An appropriate level of qualification eg a degree in quantity surveying or equivalent or a BTEC in Construction etcRICS/CIOB accreditation preferred or working towards accreditationGreat communication skills and enjoy working as part of a teamGood problem-solving capabilities and able to use your initiative to get things doneCompetence in the use of MS Windows / MS OfficeThe ability to pick up new technical skills quicklyThe role will require occasional visiting to client sites and hence flexibility towards travelling will be required along with a full driving licence.Whats in it for you:A chance to be part of, and share in, our continued success.
