Job Description

Property Accountant / Company DirectorLocation: CardiffHours: Based around work requirementsOur client, a well-established, Mortgage, Estate Agents and Wealth Management firm who are recruiting for a dynamic Property Accountant to become a partner for their newly established Accountancy firm. This role will be responsible for providing advice to clients attached to all 3 of the company’s ventures. The successful candidate will be an ambitious qualified Property Accountant who is keen to develop in their career but also grow their own business.Responsibilities for the Property Accountant:

  • Run the daily responsibilities of the business
  • Give advice ground up on all projects taken
  • Daily reconciliations of all accounts and investigating any differences
  • Processing BACS payments to contractors
  • Daily Processing of rent receipts and landlord receipts
  • Chasing debtors for payment of outstanding fees
  • Raising invoices for sales and renewals
  • Daily processing of rent receipts and landlord receipts
  • Posting Contractor Invoices
  • Answering calls relating to rent and statement queries and responding in an efficient manner.
  • Processing payments to contractors via online banking
  • Responding to Landlord queries relating to statements
  • Processing tenancy deposit returns
  • Investigating aged debtors reports
    • Skills Required for the Property Accountant:
  • ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Experience within Mortgage or Property lending
  • Solid IFRS knowledge - Ideally with IFRS 16 knowledge
  • Experience relating to property accounting
  • Ability to develop processes/controls with a passion for change
