Job Description

Project Manager Scaffolding - Construction - Asbestos - South Wales - £65k - Car Allowance - Fuel Card - 7am- 4pm Mon - Thur 7am -11am Friday - FTC 2+ years Yolk Recruitemtn are working with a leading scaffolding contractor, seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of scaffolding on a large-scale industrial project (Aberthaw Power Station) witha combination of licensed and non-licensed scaffolds. This is a temporary position for approximately 2 years, with the potential for long-term employment for the right candidate.They are a well-established company specialising in providing comprehensive scaffolding services across various industries. With a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, we deliver reliable and innovative solutions to our clients.Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of up to 20 skilled scaffolders to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Preparation and implementation of Safe System of Works.
  • Overseeing the execution of scaffolding, adhering to strict timelines and constraints.
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors, and on-site personnel, to ensure project progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including the management of asbestos-related scaffolding works.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Monitoring progress, tracking milestones, and providing regular reports to management.
  • Managing documentation, including permits, licenses, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Resolving any project-related issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role, within the scaffolding industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of scaffolding, including the erection and dismantling processes.
  • Strong understanding of H&S regulations, relating to asbestos-related scaffolding works.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple scaffolding areas simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with the on-site project team.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must hold SMSTS.
