Job Description

Our highly successful IT Services client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.We are seeking a candidate with experience within the IT Services, MSP, or Retail spaces; with experience of successfully planning and managing resources for all aspects of IT project delivery, to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, to budgetand within customer SLA agreement.Our client is based in Cardiff, so candidates should be within reasonable distance to the Head Office, however, the role is offered on a hybrid basis, with time spent WFH, at customer site, and at HQ for key delivery meetings.The role will involve occasional over-night work, as you will managing the roll-out of installation projects which will on occasion, take place overnight.Responsibilities:

  • Plan the delivery of installation projects at customer site to ensure full functionality according to project SLA & specifications.
  • Co-ordinate and manage site meetings, to ensure that key project milestones are met.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure open communication channels are maintained to meeting the needs of the customer.
  • Mitigate any issues that may arise during the life of the project; working in partnership with the customer and wider project delivery team to find solutions.
  • Lead on pricing and negotiation for project delivery.
  • Plan, allocate and control project resources (specialist equipment, project support, sub-contractors, suppliers etc).
  • Select and purchase all the necessary equipment from suppliers and arrange delivery to site to meet the needs of each project.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
  • An understanding of Prince 2 / Agile methodologies is important, however qualification by experience and the ability to work effectively to find solutions is key.
  • Experience within delivering projects within IT Services, Technology, or the Retail sectors.
  • Experience of managing 3rd party contractors.
  • Effective communication skills - both verbal and written - able to communicate at all levels internally and externally and able to maintain rapport with customers.
  • Highly developed planning and organisation ability.
  • Logical thinking to make decisions and using own judgement to find the solution.
  • High level of computer literacy including project management software.
  • Data driven and strong analysis ability.
