PART-TIME COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERFIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL MARCH 2025WORKING 21 HOURS PER WEEK OVER 3 - 5 DAYS£33,357 PER ANNUM (PRO-RATA - £18,679.82)Whats in it for mePeople Solutions are delighted to present this opportunity for a Part time Communications Officer to work with our client who are a charitable organisation providing support to unpaid Carers in Cardiff.The role is a fixed term contract until March 2025 with the opportunity to be further extended.The position offers 21 hours per week which can be worked between 3 -5 days depending upon the requirements of the successful candidate.BenefitsThe following benefits are offered:• 29.5 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus bank holidays• 3% Employers pension contributions rising to 5% following successful probation• Flexible working• 2 Paid volunteer days• Employee assistance programme• Perk box employee benefits package• Income protection cover• Eye tests/Glasses• Season ticket loansDay to Day DutiesThe purpose of this role is to act as the primary coordinator for marketing and communications for the Short Breaks Fund for Wales, a new government initiative promoting short breaks for Carers across Wales.As Communications Officer, you will be responsible for all digital content, branding and media coverage and:• Producing case studies from written, digital and video content• Working alongside external providers to write engaging content promoting the scheme• Develop brand guidelines for the scheme and ensure compliance from stakeholders• Engage local and national media to promote coverage of the scheme• Write communications and educational information relating to the scheme• Produce and manage content for the scheme’s websiteEssential Skills• Experience in securing local and national media coverage• Previous experience in managing a website and related web content• Knowledge of the requirements for bilingual communications in Wales and how to manage bilingual communications such as publications and marketing content• Understanding of confidentiality agreements and appropriate management of material.Desirable Experience• Proficient Welsh language skills, with the ability to draft, edit and proofread Welsh language copy• Understanding of working within and promoting a charitable organisationWhat training is providedOngoing training will be provided on internal systems and processes.ApplyApply today by clicking below
