Job Description

We are working with a Public Service Corporation to recruit for a Management Accountant on a 6 months interim contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and provide high quality support to key stakeholders, ensuring that they make well informedfinancial decisions about future stability, growth and profitability.Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
  • Provide high quality support by liaising with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
  • Analyse the financial performance of the organisation and advise on how to prevent problems, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value
  • Manage and reduce operational and production costs and implement new, more effective strategies
  • Negotiate on major projects, loans and grants
  • Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed
  • Implement corporate governance procedure, risk management and internal controls
Ideal candidate profile:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Prior experience working for a Public Service Corporation in a similar role
  • Strong experience in data manipulation and working with large, complex data
  • Experience in actuals, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
