Learning Support Assistant121 SupportBridgend Local AuthorityHourly Rate: £10.77**Full Time & Part Time roles available**Our Specialist SEN Branch at Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with Bridgend Local Authority to recruit a number of 121 Support Assistants for the Primary, Secondary & Specialist Provisions. You will be tasked with providing 121 Support for childrenwho have a wide range of Additional Learning Needs to access learning in a way that best suits them. All children have a statement and Education plans which legally need to be adhere to. Your mission is to work with your placement school implement the careplan whilst they deliver a curriculum to meet the pupils Educational, Communication, Social, Emotional and Behaviour needs.The Successful Learning Support Assistant will:

  • Promote the independence, inclusion, and equality of children with a sensory impairment/medical needs/behaviour difficulties or communication disorder within mainstream schools.
  • Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model whilst motivating pupils, promoting and reinforcing self-esteem.
  • Assist with the development of the personal needs of complex, medical and sensory impaired children, children with behaviour and social or communication difficulties.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:
  • Will have a big smile that will make each childs face light up when they welcome you at the door.
  • thinks on their feet and it helps to be light on them too as children often enjoy a dance.
  • A good pair of eyes and ears are essential. Ears to listen and eyes to help them negotiate the school day.
  • Youll need to bring oodles of patience and a sense of humour.
