Lead Support Worker Cardiff Full time - 37.5 hours Driver essentialAre you experienced in supporting adults with learning disabilities Join our innovative team based in Cardiff where you can lead by example, enjoying an excellent training programme, strong career progression - and deliver outstanding support through the unique ‘Activate’ model, proven to make a measurable difference to people’s lives and your professional satisfaction.The role will involve supporting three gentlemen aged between 50s - 70s in their own home in Cardiff. All three gentleman get involved in many activities including swimming (you dont need to be able to swim, full training will be provided on how to support them in the water) and rebounders which are physio led. One gentleman is a huge Cardiff City fan. He also loves rugby and speedway racing. The second gentleman is a big music buff and enjoys listening to all eras of music and playing his guitar. The third gentleman has a brilliant personality and is a huge prankster - So youll need to watch your back! They have a large garden so anyone with a green thumb can enjoy helping with the gardening. They also like to get away on weekend trips when its possible again to places including Butlins. All three gentleman have high health needs and need mobility support - Wheelchair users. They are non-verbal, but are able to communicate their needs, they have epilepsy and you will assist with medication and personal care.Shift patterns can vary week on week - Earlies, lates, long days and alternate weekends.
