Job Description

Role: Java DeveloperLocation: Cardiff (hybrid/remote working as standard)Salary: Experience dependent (45,000 - 95,000)We are looking for java developers to join a close-knit team working for a leading tech consultancy working for a government department in the South West. Due to the nature of the role, the right candidate MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC CLEARANCE (MINIMUM 5 YEARS RESIDENT IN THE UK). A variety of experience levels are being considered, from junior to senior, but a minimum of 2 years industry experience is required. This opportunity is perfect for someone keen to upskill and work with the most current technologies for a reputable companythat can offer you support, stability, and clear career progression.You will be involved in the designing, developing, and delivery of some of the most innovative software solutions available, catering to the clients needs. More senior applicants will be required to lead teams, have decent commercial awareness, and be involvedin software architecture. The right candidate will be involved from end to end, and expected to provide maintenance when required, working with a variety contemporary, emerging software.Skills/Experience

  • Excellent command of Java, and ideally other core open-source technologies and frameworks
  • Demonstrable experience in one or more technology stacks, e.g. Spring (e.g. Core, MVC, Data, Boot/Cloud), Integration Technologies (Spring Integration, Apache Camel, REST, Messaging)
  • Experience working on collaborative teams in an agile environment, ideally in a commercial setting
  • Ideally some of the following skills/technologies (if not, a desire to learn!) Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, and microservices as well as an awareness of containerisation
