Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a strong Financial Analyst to join a large Not for Profit for 6 monthsClient DetailsMy client is a large Not for Profit based in Cardiff.DescriptionThis is a great opportunity for a commercially minded Financial Analyst to join this Not for Profit organisation as a FP&A manager for 6 months.The role is covering a secondement within the organisation.As the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive financial analysis, scenario planning, and budgeting for our organisation. This is a standalone role where you will be responsible for delivering accurateand timely financial insights to support strategic decision-making and ensure the efficient allocation of resources.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support detailed analysis, scenario planning, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and present insightful financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, variance explanations, and recommendations for management and board members.
  • Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant financial data, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations on cost-saving opportunities, revenue generation, and resource allocation.
  • Support grant proposal development by providing accurate financial projections and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against budgets, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial planning and analysis for not-for-profit organisations.
  • Streamline financial processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to colleagues across the organisation, ensuring a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
Profile
  • must hold a professional certification in ACA, ACCA CIMA orequivelant.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the not-for-profit sector or a large multi--faceted organisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, scenario planning, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
  • Knowledge of not-for-profit accounting principles and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
