Job Description

We are looking to recruit for a Global Operations Director based in CardiffThe role will be responsible for the Global Operations of the company and will be reporting into the CFO. This role is a critical strategic role within the group, ensuring customer supply and demand is delivered for boxed finished product, consumables, andOEM components to our global customer base.The role will be responsible for the suppliers, production, and assembly lines in UK & US.The company has the ambition to onshore some manufacturing back to the UK (Wales) and this role will be fundamental in making this happen!You will oversee the local production and kitting for customer specials and product derivatives.Own the strategic procurement, cost management, cost reduction and environmental champion to align with company standards and regulatory requirements.Experience required:

  • Managing a global team of 4 direct reports,
  • Primary internal contacts for this role will be Director of Engineering, CFO, Regional Sales Leaders,
Technical support.
  • Analyse production labour requirements, implementing appropriate capacity decisions aligning to the sales forecast.
  • Promote product safety and compliance, align with all safety and environmental rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement and lead the lean culture within the plant and drive improvements in product quality and process efficiency with continuous yield improvements
  • Champion company to global operational standard where appropriate (ISO14001)
Desired experience includes:
  • Five years of operations experience within the assembly sector.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, Engineering (any), Management or Operational field.
  • Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Managing a team - create development plans and perform regular performance plans for staff.
  • Working knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.
Salary up to £60k + £6k Car allowance, Healthcare
