Job Description

GIS Technical Architect - Up To £76,000 - Hybrid (Cardiff Site)The OpportunityYolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with an essentially valuable not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Technical Architect who has knowledge of key GIS technologies.This role is ideal for anyone who has excellent technical knowledge of Esri Desktop 10.6/10.6, ArcGIS and JSWeb/JS portal.What the Technical Architect Lead will be doingYou will be responsible for designing GIS technologies, ensuring the standard of agreed design principles.

  • Design Geospatial Applications, Data Models and Cloud Storage for enterprise level use
  • Drive the technology strategy around the Geospatial projects
  • Create a comprehensive testing strategy for GIS
  • Work with key stakeholders to keep them appraised of architectural decisions
  • Produce documentation related to the GIS architecture
What you will bring to the teamYou will have excellent experience with GIS technologies such as Esri Desktop 10.6/10.6, ArcGIS and JSWeb/JS portal, and their associated architectures.
  • Ability to generate and drive GIS strategy on an enterprise level
  • Excellent technical knowledge of GIS architecture
  • Knowledge of wider technical capabilities e.g. Azure Cloud
  • Experience working within agile delivery
