Job Description

Working within the Insurance sector they are looking for an experienced Finance Change Lead to join their finance team at a pivotal time.Having just completed a wholesale finance system transformation, the company requires a driven individual that can identify, scope and manage opportunities to improve internal finance processes and shape related system developments.You will take responsibility for implementing new processes and providing guidance and training as necessary, promoting a continuous improvement mind-set. You will evaluate the origin and quality of finance data and seek to improve the systems and processesaround it to improve reporting insight, reduce errors and improve efficiency. You will become the subject matter expert on resolving finance system issues, aiding resolution and advising where necessary, whilst ensuring compliance and UK standards. You willbe the SME for relevant IT and finance systems teams, advising on the necessary changes to MS Dynamics 365 (F&O).Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, testing and implementation of new processes for Dynamics 365 (D365) F&O for all UK entities using this system
  • Working with a trainee system accountant to prioritise and manage change requests in line with the finance functional guidance
  • Creating and maintaining the system documents which record core system functions and controls
  • Planning and management of system upgrades during the financial calendar, minimising disruption and ensuring safe and controlled implementation
  • Undertaking analysis to identify opportunities to enhance and optimise system capability and working with teams within finance to design and implement solutions
  • Working with a senior accountant and a senior data and reporting analyst on work-streams under the Finance data transformation project
  • Playing an integral role in the design and implementation of any further finance tooling or software and ensuring consistent processes across relevant and related systems
Candidate Requirements To be selected for interview, you are / have
  • A Qualified accountant with any of ACCA, CIMA, ACA. CCAB with c.1-5 years experience
  • Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 F&O as a management accountant, or experience in a similar role and systems
  • Exposure to large-scale finance system transformations
  • Strong finance process understanding (management accounting cycle, P2P, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting etc) with experience in demands faced by a large global company and its financial reporting process (including the necessary process controls)
  • Experience of clearly articulating process, data and system problems, and their impacts, to finance and non-finance people
  • Ability to organise, co-ordinate and prioritise change initiatives and influence related workstreams
  • Extensive data processing, data uploads, interfaces with other systems, data extraction, and manipulation, all the way to effectively presenting and reporting it. You do not need to have VBA/SQL (or similar) knowledge for this role, but advanced spreadsheetanalytical skills are important
  • Ability to work well independently and with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
