Job Description

Are you an experience accounting lecturer looking for a challenge that will take you overseas to deliver your subject area in ChinaReed Further Education are working with a college based in Lincoln who are working in partnership with a polytechnic college located in Chengdu, China.The programme they are working together on is the cost engineering programme and the post holder with contribute to the development and delivery the course content.There are 3 positions available, the role is permanent full-time 37 hours a week. The post is term-time only covering 29 weeks of the year. There may be some teaching involved in other centres.Job Title: Accounting LecturerDuration: PermanentSalary: £26,125 - £35,119 pro rata per annumLocation: Chengdu, China (as part of college based in Lincoln).Position: Permanent, full-time 37 hoursThe primary duties, tasks and responsibilities of this job role are to;

  • Responsible for planning and managing learning programmes.
  • Delivery accounting joint programme, AAT level 2-4, short courses in book keeping and A-level accounting.
  • Act as personal tutor to students when required.
  • Responsible for the management and tracking of the student learning.
  • Develop materials in line with relevant awarding body.
  • Carry out the required assessments.
  • Classroom management and student behaviour management.
  • Act as an ambassador for the UK college and build good relationships with Chinese college.
What you will need
  • Degree and/or Masters in Business or related fields of study.
  • Accounting/ AAT qualification
  • Recent and relevant teaching experience
  • Certificate in Education, PGCE or equivalent, or the ability and willingness to obtain a Level 4 Professional Teaching Qualification.
  • Has a record of work experience in the industry.
