General manager This is a permanent opportunity paying negotiable salary, bonuses plus benefits Kenton Black Scientific is a recruitment partner to an food microbiology testing laboratory based in South Wales. They are looking to hire microbiology site manager to join their team.Responsibilities:Responsible for all operational and commercial activities of the laboratoryResponsible for managing P&L, budget management and cost managementWork closely with external clients in order adhere to service level agreementsCarry out training for the siteDevelop team leaders to be able to operate the lab and ensure they understand all aspects of the QMS relevant to their role.Create a positive working environment designed to drive staff retention and ensure that any personal issues are dealt with in-line with company policyEffective and timely attendance management of staff in line with company policyResponsible for promoting positive work cultureWork with quality team to ensure site is in line with ISO17025 guidelinesRequirements: This role is suitable for an experienced microbiology site manager/ general manager or an individual with excellent experience within food manufacturing site managerDegree Science, business management is desiredProven extensive experience in site/laboratory managementExcellent experience in managing P&L and budget managementExperience in working according to ISO and UKAS guidelinesExcellent technical knowledge in food microbiology, water microbiology testingProven leadership skillsIf you are interested, please apply now!
