Job Description

Fascinating 6-month FTC or interim role for a Qualified Accountant- fast-paced national project delivery. We are looking for a Qualified Accountant to report directly to the board and join thenational project team, Offering Remote or Hybrid working near Coventry CV2:

• Up to £40/Hr
• 6 months fixed term contract or Interim considered
• Monday – Friday - 09:00 – 17:00
• 37.5 hours per week
• Remote or Hybrid – considered but must be able to commute to Head Office (Coventry CV2)

AsQualified Accountant-you will deliver financial procedures and detailedanalysis tothe board, to successfully deliver a national divestment project. You will reconcile agreed vs actual figures, reconstruct & rebuild tighter process and final checks, paving the wayfor decision-makers to assure profitable solutions.You will need to be a Qualified Accountant-skilled in portraying the “bigger picture”that the financial data is showing, have proven experience in creating financial process,checks and balances, have experience in leading a team to deliver project/national budgets and forecasts.Qualified Accountant – The Role:

• Reporting to the board.
• Direct responsibility for one major project but with involvement across all team activities
• Analysis of operational as well as financial data to explain trends and justify expenditure levels
• To manage all project financial control procedures and ensuring contract expenditure is managed to budgetary constraints.
• Managing and producing weekly financial and statistical information for the client as well as period reporting
• Manage the production of project budgets/forecasts
• Responsibility for Balance Sheet Controls and Reconciliation for the Finance project Team portfolio
• Producing ad-hoc reports, costings and expenditure trend analysis as required.

Qualified Accountant – The Person:

• Must have 2 years’ experience within project/contract accounting.
• Must have CIMA/ACCA qualification or working toward this
• Must be a natural leader, who can coach,nurture & develop your team, helping them to achieve and exceed their KPI’s and deliver on department objectives
• Must display clear communication skills at all levels with clients, colleagues and direct reports
