Job Description

Learning Support Assistants – SEND SpecialismMilk Education are looking for a number of enthusiastic and outstanding Learning Support Assistants with SEND experience to join a new SEMH school in the East London area. Applicants will begin this role as soon as possible and they need to be experienced,enthusiastic and caring.At full capacity, the school will provide education to 80 pupils aged 11-16 working between lower key stage two and key stage four. Many of the pupils who will attend this school will have additional special educational needs, such as, autistic spectrumcondition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and speech and language communication difficulties.We are looking to help appoint Learning Support Assistants with experience and/or interest in supporting the teaching and learning of the pupils. The school value high standards of achievement for all of their pupils and are looking to appoint excellentLearning Support Assistants to join the team, who will make a positive contribution to the education of their fantastic pupils.Successful applicants will be offered by the school:

The successful applicant will demonstrate certain skills:
  • Flexible, motivated, supportive and enthusiastic
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of pupils
  • The ability to support the raising of standards of these pupils through curriculum development, rigorous professional review and development
  • The ability to contribute to accurate records and the use of data
  • The ability to work as a member of a team with educational and other professionals, both from within and outside the school
  • Is resilient and able to focus on finding solutions to the issues and problems experienced in any school
  • You must have the care and dedication to ensure that every child reaches their full potential
This position will be 33.5 hours per week, term-time only +5 training days.
