Job Description

Project WorkerImmediately Required We at Venn Group, are currently working with a highly reputable client of ours, who are currently looking for an experienced and determined Project Worker to join their successful support team. The characteristics of a successful candidate will be someonewith previous experience working in a challenging environment within a housing setting, is hard-working and has a positive can-do attitude. Position: Project Worker Period:6 months (with potential extension)Shifts: Monday to Friday (Weekend work may be required) Hours: 35 hours a week Location: North West LondonRate: £11- £16 per hourDuties of the role will include:

  • Supporting a caseload of high complex needs adults such as mental health, domestic abuse, ex-offenders and drug and alcohol abuse
  • Interviewing potential clients referred to the service and carrying out assessments to determine their hostel suitability
  • Providing advice to tenants on welfare benefits, housing, training and employment opportunities and other issues as necessary
  • Assisting clients with day-to-day tenancy issues such as rent payments and claiming benefits
  • Dealing with difficult and complicated client situations, and providing a suitable solution
  • Liaising with external agencies as appropriate to ensure the ongoing support needs of clients
  • Working in line with other key agencies, both in statutory and voluntary sectors
  • Maintaining the safety of clients through the following of Health and Safety Guidelines
  • Dealing with any tenant queries or complaints both promptly and sensitively in accordance with company policy
  • Undertaking housing management tasks including reception duties, taking rent and ensuring a clean and safe physical environment
Essential requirements:
  • Previous housing experience, working with complex need clients in a challenging scheme
  • Experience and knowledge of the needs and support requirements of vulnerable clients
  • Knowledge of good practice in housing management
  • Recent enhanced DBS certificate, ideally on the update service
