My client Europes largest publishing company is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join the team at their London HQ in Camden.Responsible for the buildings, facilities and workplace.Line management of the facilities team including reception, coordinators, post and security.Covering a wide range of both in house and contracted maintenance and soft servicesHealth and safety management, budget management and financial responsibility, and project management are all keys areas of responsibilitiesCandidates would need to have at least 3 years Facilities Management experience and have relevant qualifications i.e BIFM, IOSH etcMain Duties Include Ensure our buildings and their facilities make it a great place to do great work and a workplace and comfortable working environment for staff and meet health & safety standards. Direct and plan essential shared services such as reception, security, maintenance, courier / post room, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling. Co-ordinate and lead the Facilities team to deliver a great service, understand what our employees need in the workplace in order to be highly engaged and effective and cover all areas of responsibility. Be a key member of the collaborative team with HR, IT, Senior Management, in transforming Academic House to be a great workplace in during our flexible/hybrid trials and ongoing, undertaking surveys and contributing to feedback to showcase our buildingsas great places to work Manage high standards of housekeeping at all times and ensures a daily site walk-thru is conducted by self or team analysing areas that need improving and if necessary writing up action points.Ensures corrective actions are completed in a reasonable timeframe, e.g. cleaning issues, broken lightbulbs, and kitchen supplies and so on. Develop and maintain excellent relations with internal customers and key stakeholders and VIPS, and keeps up to date of changes within the organisation. Liaise with the Landlords building manager on day-to-day issues including, but not limited to, upkeep of communal areas and maintenance work by external companies. Build up a network of suppliers and manages those relationships ensuring Bauer receives competitive prices, good service and value for money. Check that all agreed work, by staff or contractors, is completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies. Provide clear concise communication to the business when needed, Develops and manages a pro-active maintenance schedule, anticipating long- and short-term improvements, as well as planning a weekly,Monthly, quarterly and annual diary of maintenance activities. Retain site layout drawings and update as required. Ensure the best utilisation of space and resources within each building. Co-ordinate office moves: Produce documentation for moves, communicate with those moving and book contractors Work closely with the IT department regarding for example office moves, AV equipment, copiers/printers etc. Keeps up-to-date with regulations Identifies key risks; creates and oversees the execution of action plansWorking a 37.5 hour weekSalary 40-43k
