Salary THE JOB In our larger stores, we support our teams by having an Assistant Manager as well as a Store Manager. You will be second in command, on hand to support your manager and your team in all areas of the store. Whether youre a supervisor already, an assistantmanager looking for more, or if you simply feel ready to take that next step up, this could be the opportunity youre looking for.Its a stepping-stone into a career path that could take you all the way within Holland & Barrett. All of our Assistant Managers complete our fantastic “Qualified to Advise” and level 2 operational training, to help turn them into shopfloor superstars! Wewill give you responsibility, train you in all areas of running a successful store and, when youre ready, we will help you move up into a Store Manager role.Your key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Store Manager in order to build a high performing team by recruiting, coaching, training, motivating and developing your brilliant store team to shine even brighter
  • Be totally customer-centric, delighting our customers all the time
  • Understand and increase the financial performance of your store by making sure that youre all over sales targets as well as payroll and other costs.
  • Making sure that theres enough stock thats displayed correctly so that our customers can come in and find just what they need
THE PERSON To be successful, wed like you to show us that you have:
  • Excellent communication and proven people management skills and the ability to lead and motivate the team in all situations
  • Great teamwork skills so that you can support your manager and develop your team
  • The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Confidence, drive and enthusiasm
  • Passion and enthusiasm for our products, nutritional supplements, natural beauty and healthy living
  • The ability to complete regular computer-based training to ensure exceptional product knowledge
