We are responsible for the acquisition, delivery and sales of new-build properties across London and the South East.Were an organisation with strong values. These are what make us such a great team, working together as one to achieve our vision.The roleWe have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position ofTeam Manager.Arlington is the largest mixed use homeless hostel in the UK and the flagship support services for One Housing. Alongside its 95 supported homes for former rough sleepers it has 44 low-rent independent studio flats, social enterprises and commercial businessesin a mixed vibrant environment all under one roof, where our customers can be motivated to get on the right track and find a way to independence.Salary:£33,000 per annumLocation: Arlington, CamdenYour responsibilities will include:

  • Provide line management, supervision and appraisal to support staff within the service.
  • Hold day to day responsibility for rota cover and staff deployment.
  • Ensure that all staff receive appropriate induction, training and development opportunities.
  • Performance management including setting targets, monitoring and taking action to address any performance issues.
  • Ensure that residents are supported to sustain their tenancies through effective management of their rent and accommodation charges, safeguarding their accommodation and preparing them for independent living.
  • Ensure voids are minimised and the service is accessible and available to all that need it.
  • Facilitate and encourage effective customer participation, consultation and feedback within the service.
  • Ensure the implementation of the support database and that appropriate records are kept.
  • Carry out regular audits of service provision including; health and safety.
  • Liaise effectively with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure referrals and assessment issues are dealt with in a timely fashion, and service utilisation is maximised.
  • Work within and monitor the service budget against management accounts.
  • Any other duties within the general scope of the post as directed by the Head of Service or other senior managers
What you will need to succeedWe are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly.The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Staff management experience
  • Experience in working in a hostel setting with customers with complex needs and housing sector overall
  • Knowledge and understanding of up-to-date legislation and government frameworks relevant to the customer group.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures for adults and children
