Job Description

Statistician / Data Analystto £38,000 + bonus, pension & benefitsLondon, remote or hybridReporting to the Director of Research and Chief Economist, this is an opportunity for a Data Analyst with a background in statistics to join a leading trade association, the largest organisation of its type in Europe.The JobThe Research Department is a leading resource of UK industry and economic data that supports evidence-based policy work on members behalf and demonstrates the significant economic contribution of sector markets. Key responsibilities.

  • To collate, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative datasets.
  • To use a wide range of statistical techniques as appropriate.
  • To maintain up-to-date and accurate statistical databases and assist in their development.
  • To provide support to the Director of Research and Chief Economist.
  • Undertake any other duties as maybe reasonably required by the Association.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience of data analysis.
  • Previous experience of survey work (desirable, not essential).
  • Previous experience of contributing to research projects.
  • IT experience (MS Office, Advanced Excel Functions including Pivot Tables, R EViews, SPSS).
  • Graduate in Statistics or in a subject with a substantial statistical content.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and able to work to high standards.
