An opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist to work in the Chemical Pathology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital. You will become part of a team of 60+ people in a busy department comprising of Rapid Response, routine, enzyme, metabolic & newborn screening laboratories which provide specialised biochemical diagnostic & monitoring services to patients both within the hospital and external users worldwide.The department is well equipped & covers a wide range of analytical techniques & instrumentation including Tandem MS, GC-MS, HPLC/UHPLC, Vitros, Immulite and ICP-MS. Previous experience of working within paediatric laboratory medicine would be advantageous.This is a rotational post within Rapid Response Laboratory and the successful candidate will be required to participate in the extended day shifts. Once adequate experience has been achieved, individuals will be required to participate in rostered NightShifts.
