Are you a registered Biomedical Scientist Do you want to work in a world-renowned Paediatric Hospital We have some exciting opportunities for you if the answer is to this is YES.We require a qualified BMS in the Haematology department within the Department of Paediatric Laboratory Medicine, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The role will be to work within a team in the Haematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion Sections and, following training, the successful candidate will work during the day as well as participating in the out-of-hours rota.The laboratory provides an extensive range of investigations to support the specialist patient population of this tertiary referral paediatric hospital. This includes a wide range of specialist investigations for both haematology and haemostasis, and support for patients with multiple special requirements in Blood Transfusion.You must be HCPC registered and ideally you will have experience of lone working. You should also have obtained your specialist portfolio, MSc or equivalent.The department is UKAS accredited as well as an IBMS accredited training laboratory. We also encourage all staff to further their experience, including attendance at both internal and external courses/presentations. The Trust has excellent links with the UCL Institute for Child Health and staff can have access to the library facilities within the Institute.Applicants are actively encouraged to contact the team for further details.
