These are what make us such a great team, working together as one to achieve our vision.The roleWe have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Senior Technical Manager in Camden. Your responsibilities will include:

• Involvement in the pre-construction phase of the development programme in an advisory capacity on contractual and technical matters, ensuring all schemes are developed within agreed parameters.
• To interrogate Reviewable Design Data submissions both directly, and by supporting the Technical Manager. Manage the Design and Technical team and personally oversee major or complex schemes.
• To ensure key consultants, including EAs, are managed appropriately in terms of design and technical input into schemes, including oversight of OHGs Consultant Framework, with support from the Development Assistant.
• Develop and deliver a reporting format for design and technical matters, including both internal and external KPIs.
• Develop strategic approaches, including processes and training, to meet requirements of the internal and external operating environment eg. BIM, Net Zero Carbon, property handover, MMC, G15 Quality Charter.
• Involvement in the design and pre-construction process, including design review, construction review and product specification to maximise returns on schemes, optimise build cost and quality.
• Oversee the work of the Technical Manager on the Employers Requirements and Technical Specification to ensure they are regularly reviewed and current and meet business needs.
• Oversee the development and delivery of a quality management system to be lead on by the Quality Manager, including oversight of Site Inspectors and contractor progress updates.
• Ad hoc technical support for other teams and stakeholders, particularly the Defects Manager.
• Promote effective cross-departmental working within the business and deliver a professional service with good relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, other external agencies and internal teams.
• Update and amend Departmental policies/procedures as necessary. Fully comply with One Housings Standing Orders, Financial Regulations and Procurement guidelines.
• To manage team performance, outputs and KPIs.

What you will need to succeedWe are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly. The successful candidate will have:

Degree level or equivalent technical or professional qualification in architectural technology, surveying, architecture, construction.

Working knowledge of Building Regulations and Planning requirements

Proven track record in pre-construction management and delivery of high-quality schemes

Understanding of different types of contractual arrangements including Joint Ventures and S106 agreements.

Knowledge of sustainability, MMC and BIM In-depth knowledge and experience of pre-construction optimisation and risk management throughout design development, construction review, planning and technical proposals with principle knowledge of quality newbuild housing and innovative construct...
