Prospectus is delighted to be working with ScreenSkills to recruit a new Senior Researcher to join their team. ScreenSkills is an industry-led skills body for the UKs screen industries - film, television (high-end, childrens, unscripted), VFX, animation and games. Our mission is to lead on building skills and talent, finding, developing and sustaining a properly inclusive workforce to support the screen industries across the whole of the country and power growth.The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Research in building a robust body research, providing independent, trusted and rigorous evidence on skills gaps and shortages, diversity and inclusion, size of the sector, working practices and future of work in the screen industries (film, TV, animation, VFX and games). This role will focus heavily on project managing research, liaising with stakeholders, researching and analysing a range of existing evidence, assisting with data collection and analysis, and writing of reports.The successful candidate will have a strong background in qualitative research and statistics with a solid understanding of triangulating mixed-methods research in the arts and creative industries or in academia. Systematic, methodical and precise, this person will have experience of working in busy research teams and will have the confidence and persuasiveness to mobilise expert panels from the industry and create long term productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
