Job Purpose and BackgroundDelivering and embedding change to make One Housing an efficient and effective organisation has been a focus for the last 3 years and Continuous Improvement is at the heart of what we are doing to move to the next phase of the organisations development. With many key technology projects either delivering or rolling out further phases, its never been more essential that business processes and technology projects embed with teams and teams are engaged in the process of change. Coming into the organisation at a key time, we are developing the next phases of our business transformation and in particular look to increase our capacity for change management and supporting teams in delivering effective services and identified benefits through high quality technology and processes. While this role currently has no line management responsibility, there is an expectation that you can help upskill others in the team on embedding change and change management techniques.Principals Outputs and Responsibilities• Management of complex initiatives and changes that span one or multiple lines of business • Deliver end to end business process change, including value stream optimisation • Management of project budgets and overall project management to deliver solutions • Ensuring the realisation of identified benefits from programmes/projects • Lead visual management, performance, and problem-solving sessions with business teams • Manage project and programme issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline • Provide weekly progress reports to the Project Board and other senior stakeholders • Work with programme/project managers to embed change • Create and manage the implementation and communications plans • Work with the business to ensure successful delivery and embedding of projects • Effectively manage risks, issues and dependencies • Advise the Project Board of any deviations • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program teamEssential knowledge, skills and experience• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a change management role • Extensive understanding of change management procedures • Previous experience of implementing projects • Results-focused: able to set high work standards for self and demonstrate drive to meet targets • Experience of people-led, organisational change or transformation, or change involving outsourcing of services, contract novation and moving activities between companies • Customer-orientated: desire and willingness to address the needs of residents and staff, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do • Solid track record of successful implementation and embedding of projects • Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills • High levels of the following key competencies: o Planning o Time management o People management o Problem solving o Attention to detail o Communication o Conflict management Desirable knowledge, skills and experienceDesirable knowledge, skills and experience• Practical understanding of applying different Project Management methodologies and controls; PRINCE2, Waterfall, Agile, Iterative etc. • Practical understanding of change management methods, like ADKAR, Kotters 8 Step, Kubler Ross, or equivalent • Some exposure of working in a commercially focused housing/asset management environment.
