Band 5 Research NurseFull time - 37.5 hours per weekFixed term – External Funding (31st October 2021)Do you want to give exceptional care and be involved in providing state-of the art treatments to patientsWe are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse to become part of the Research Nursing Team at the National Institute for Health Research UCLH Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The research nursing team in the CRF provide exceptional specialist nursing care to a wide variety of patients taking part in early phase clinical trials of experimental cancer and medicine treatments. This includes First-in-Human medicines and experimental early phase treatments in Oncology, Hematology Neurology and Medicine.We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills and a keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will need a willingness to learn and an interest in working across a range studies in different specialties within the Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The post holder will be supported by senior nurses within the unit, and the role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who is keen to develop their career in clinical research nursing. The post holder will work in close collaboration with the Research Nursing Team, Principal Investigators and research support staff, to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial specific protocols.Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with post- registration experience. A strong interest in clinical trials and research is essential.
