The Institutions that are based there have been operating in the UK for decades and are part of amission and mandate to increase knowledge and understanding of Muslim civilisations and help improve the quality of life for people around the world.We are now looking for a Programme Finance Officer to join our team on a full-time basis and oversee the finances of our programmes and grants.The Benefits- Salary of £38,000 - £40,000 per annum- 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and Christmas closure- Benefits packageThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented accountant with an understanding of charity accounting looking to advance their career and join an organisation that is transforming lives across the globe.When you join us, not only will you have the chance to develop and grow your own skill-set and experience, but your work will enable us to continue helping communities around the world build better futures.The RoleAs a Programme Finance Officer, you will help deliver effective financial accounting, management and reporting processes for our range of programmes and provide support to the full lifecycle of our grants, from donor concept to final reports.Reporting to the Programme Finance Manager, you will support the design and implementation of effective quality controls which will ensure compliance with donor requirements and maintain appropriate donor stewardship.You will also monitor spending and activity implementation and maintain the grants management tracker, ensuring grants are properly recorded and monitored and review budgets for concepts and/or proposals.About YouTo join us as a Programme Finance Officer, you will need:- At least three years relevant experience in financial accounting and financial reporting- Experience of designing and managing effective administrative systems and procedures- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management- Knowledge of charity accounting- To be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel- Excellent numeracy, financial analysis and financial presentation skills- The ability to synthesise complex operational and financial details for reporting and presentation- The ability to work in a multi-institution network within a multi-cultural environment- Good interpersonal, customer care and liaison skills with a wide range of stakeholdersExperience working in international organisations or donor agencies, including field-level implementation, would be beneficial, as would experience working with EC, ECHO, DFID or equivalent.
